The Tellico River Delayed Harvest opens tomorrow. This is an event that I eagerly await each year.
It is an artificial only, catch and release only section that TWRA stocks each year for some good winter time fishing. They usually put some better than average fish in. Last year we even had some nice size brookies stocked in addition to all the rainbows.
This is some of the best fishing to be had in these parts, especially fly fishing. Not nearly as crowded either.
